Website enhancements, a partner microsite, and fundraising pages for RAINN
Drupal enhancements for RAINN’s website, a co-branded partner microsite of video modules, and redesigned giving and advocacy pages, with related work for Safe Helpline.
RAINN’s website connects people with its around-the-clock hotline and online chat while also supporting fundraising and advocacy. In 2018 and 2019 Orpheus extended the site in three directions.
A site where getting help comes first
RAINN’s website has to do several jobs at once. It keeps the way to help one step away on every page, and it also supports the organization’s fundraising, partnerships, and advocacy.
Orpheus worked within RAINN’s existing Drupal theme, which another agency designed, adding new features and templates while keeping the help options prominent throughout.
Navigation, search, and content updates
Orpheus refreshed the site header and navigation, added search to the header on desktop, the homepage, and mobile, introduced a photo gallery, and added the organization’s 25th-anniversary branding. Behind the scenes, the work refactored the theme’s jQuery code to avoid conflicts and added new content types to the site’s flexible page layouts.
Co-branded video modules with a corporate partner
Orpheus built a co-branded microsite for a RAINN partnership with a corporate partner. Visitors browse a carousel of modules, and each module page pairs a short video with the key points to remember, a link to the partner’s community guidelines, and a clear path to RAINN’s hotline and chat.
Each module is managed as Drupal content, with fields for the video, summary, and takeaways.
Giving and action pages that connect to RAINN’s systems
Orpheus designed and built a redesigned donation page with a prominent giving widget and clear options for monthly gifts, stock, vehicles, donor-advised funds, planned gifts, tribute gifts, and workplace giving. Donations flow into RAINN’s existing donation system.
On the main site, Orpheus added a homepage donation prompt with analytics tracking and a petition-style action page that sends sign-ups to RAINN’s Salesforce.
Safe Helpline
Orpheus also worked on Safe Helpline’s Drupal 8 site, updating its homepage and a search tool that helps service members find support on or near their base or installation by location, branch of service, and type of help.
